The American Highway Users Alliance has enjoyed a 90-year history of advocating for the safety and mobility of America’s road users, ranging from providing critical motorist support on legislation to create the modern interstate system in 1956 to working with Congress on every reauthorization since. Our members represent millions of private and commercial vehicle drivers that pay the user fees that fund federal surface transportation programs. As the opinion leaders on the subject of safe and mobile highways, our members base their livelihoods on the health and stability of our highway system and invest significant resources into ensuring that our highways remain safe and efficient.
